Dear patients and referring physicians of the Milwaukee Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic:

On August 31, 2026, the Milwaukee Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic will close after serving the Milwaukee area since it was founded by Dr. Charles Finn in1948. Dr. Gogan, the Clinic's last physician employee, will retire on that date.

Over the past 10 to 20 years, hospital systems have increasingly employed physicians directly. As a result, independent clinics like the Milwaukee Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic have gradually disappeared, along with the managing physicians who sustained them. Combined with declining insurance reimbursement, this trend has made it impossible for the Clinic to hire independent physicians and keep private practice viable. Sadly, these circumstances have forced the closure of the Clinic, which was the first medical service corporation in the State of Wisconsin.

The Clinic is grateful that Anne Jaramillo, Au.D., our dedicated and highly experienced audiologist, will continue operating the Milwaukee Hearing Aid Clinic at our current location. Anne holds a Doctor of Audiology degree and has been with the Clinic for 16 years. She will continue to provide comprehensive audiometric testing and hearing aid fittings, and she can refer patients to area otolaryngologists if medical ear concerns arise.

Patient medical records are maintained in Practice Fusion, the Clinic's medical record system. We have been assured that records will remain available for the period required by Wisconsin law. Patients may request records electronically or by phone, and printed copies can be provided for a nominal processing fee.

Many patients who have been seen regularly have already been referred to Milwaukee-area ENT specialists with expertise in their conditions. The Clinic is also working to establish a more permanent referral arrangement with one or all of Milwaukee's three major health care systems. A reference list of Ascension ENT doctors is attached to this mailing and soon a list of Aurora and Froedtert ENT's will be available by phone or fax.

The staff of the Clinic, many of whom have been with the Clinic for up to 50 years, are extremely grateful for the confidence and dedication the patients and the referring doctors have had in the Clinic services. It is hoped that you will find the same degree of satisfaction in the new relationships you will be developing with your new ENT's.
